The Dallas Uptown Youth Orchestra educates young people from ages 6-18 in music teaching them Music History, Theory, Sight reading and Performance. We teach them classical and non-classical music and provide them with opportunities to perform in the community. Many of our students are under-resourced. Our program enriches them with resources in music education. The Dallas Uptown Youth Orchestra will began holding auditions on Sept. 6th. and Sept. 13th. Scholarships are available on a need base. The orchestra welcomes all youth of the Dallas and surrounding areas. The hours for auditions are from 10:00-12:45. Please call 214-823-4269 or e-mail gaylepunch@yahoo.com.
